EVHS has taken on an ambitious project to document every church that existed from the founding of the county. Churches are defined as places of worship. Some locations have long disappeared and others still remain if only in signage, oral history, cemeteries and a few scant land marks. To qualify for inclusion a church must have had a physical location owned by the fellowship that drew people together for services. We continue to add sites and update others as information is revealed.
