The establishment date for Fairview Baptist Church is currently unknown. The land for the church was purchased for $1.00 from Mrs. Annie Laurie Jones Cunyus by the church trustees on December 8, 1937. It was included in the deed that the lot was to be “used exclusively for religious purposes and that a house of worship is to be erected thereon,” with the land reverting back to the grantor if it were to stop being used for such purpose. There is no cemetery on site at the church.
