The EVHS Historic Signage Program is a public awareness and educational resource sponsored by the Society.

Historic Homes & Businesses

EVHS sponsors an exclusive historic properties Registry program to recognize homes and businesses that hold historic value regarding architecture, events or vintage age of survival. Owners may apply for inclusion to the EVHS Registry and qualify for a property sign to post at authorized sites. From these homes and others, EVHS may periodically present a Tour of Homes.

The Historic Signage Awareness Program was developed to help identify and label Bartow County properties of historical or architectural interest that are at least 50 years old. Property owners may display these property markers in front of their home or business.

Signs feature the name of the original owner and date of construction, along with the current owner’s (or owners’) name. Benefitting tourists and homeowners alike with the informative and educational information displayed, the Society hopes to promote local historical interest while helping to preserve historical neighborhoods.
