Gilmer Street Baptist Church was founded March 1941 and built at 116 North Gilmer Street. It was purchased in the late 1990’s by the Anverse Foundation. The Booth Western Art Museum was built on the location. A stone marker – plaque commemorating the original church location is found on the property near the main Gilmer Street gate entrance.

The church moved its fellowship to 477 Old Cassville White Road and established Grace Baptist Church in 1999 – 2000. Contact Grace Baptist Church for further information about Gilmer Street Baptist history (770) 382-6446.
