- In the 1840 Census Pension List from Washington are listed the following Revolutionary soldiers that were still living in Bartow County:
- John Lewis, age 83, living with Baylis W. Lewis
- Rubin Edwards, age 82, living with Reuben Edwards
- Hugh Bruster, age 80, living with William Brewster
- Benjamin Harris, age 81, living with John Stokes
- Charles Baker, age 79, living with Carles Baker
