Black Pioneers: Legacy in the American West
Please join the Etowah Valley Historic Society and the Booth Western Art Museum as EVHS extends our February celebration of Black History Month into March!
This is a complimentary evening at the Booth’s ‘First Free Thursday’ monthly offering.
The Booth is hosting an amazing quilt exhibit that chronicles the lives of courageous, talented Black pioneers from 1528 through the Civil Rights Movement.
Yes,1528! After a Spanish exploration ship accidentally sank in the Gulf of Mexico, the first Black pioneer explored parts of the American West.
Registration is free, but please let us know you are planning to attend!
