Trinity Baptist Church was established on June 16, 1957. Their first tract of land was purchased by their pastor, Rev. Harold I. Elrod, on July 8, 1957 for $8,000.00. Shortly after their organization in September 1957, the church sent letters to join the Middle Georgia, Georgia Baptist, and Southern Baptist Conferences, which they did within a year. Trinity Baptist Church is still a part of the Middle Georgia Association, today known as the Bartow Baptist Association. In January 1958, the church elected its first board of trustees, which included both men and women. The next month, the land was transferred from the now former pastor Harold Elrod to the control of this trustee board for $10.00. In March of 1967, work began on a new sanctuary for the church; however, fire completely consumed it in November. Work began anew on May 14, 1968 and was finished in early December 1968. There is no cemetery in connection with this church. Trinity Baptist is located at 1511 Joe Frank Harris Parkway, Cartersville, GA 30120, viewable on this map of Bartow County Baptist Churches: https://goo.gl/maps/9uTux1G4ZvQ2.
